Design and Minimalist Collection (Little Things)

Minimalist Art Collection

The Little Things collection by Oscar Matos Linares is an exploration of everyday objects that are often overlooked or taken for granted. With a minimalist approach, I aim to draw attention to the beauty and significance of these objects that are an integral part of our daily lives.

This collection has been a long-standing passion of mine since my college days. The use of film for the majority of the popular images from the series adds a sense of nostalgia and authenticity to the work. Additionally, transitioning to digital cameras for new images allows for more flexibility and efficiency in capturing and refining the compositions.

My focus on color, composition, and the use of harsh light is likely instrumental in creating visually striking and thought-provoking images. The emphasis on these elements can enhance the visual impact and draw attention to the details and inherent beauty of the everyday objects being portrayed.

The final development of the images on photo paper and metal reinforces the intention to present the collection in a visually impactful and lasting format. This choice of medium adds texture, depth, and a sense of permanence to the photographs, making them stand out as unique and collectible pieces.

Overall, the Little Things collection, showcases a minimalist approach to capturing everyday objects. Through the use of both film and digital cameras, a focus on color, composition, and harsh light, and the development of photo paper and metal, I create a visually captivating and conceptually meaningful series. The limited edition aspect adds to the collectible nature of the images, making them a valuable addition to any art collection.
