Printing, turn around and general inspiration
At the art fairs, you recently notice my images printed in metal with High Gloss finish. Metal prints offer the modern frameless clean look that today new are inspiring. The metal prints are produced by the lab (Black River Imaging in my case). The lab uses high-heat technology to fuse your image into the eco-friendly, 100% post-consumer recycled ChromaLuxe aluminum surface for incredible visual depth and luminosity. Metal prints are available in High Gloss, Mid-Gloss, Satin, Sheer-Glossy and Sheer - Matte surfaces.
Production turnaround time at the lab is 2-3 business days. Add 1-3 days for finishing & mounting. Then ship directly to you from the lab. The total production time for metal prints could take up to 15 business days before it arrives at your home.
My black white images are print on FineArt Baryta. FineArt Baryta is a paper that sets the benchmark for high color depth, large color gamut and image definition. This paper gives the "wow" factor particularly to black and white prints with an extremely high Dmax and the finest grey tones. Using barium sulfate in the premium inkjet coating ensures the typical gloss that makes this paper a genuine replacement for traditional Baryta papers from analog laboratories.
All traditional prints: I use a single white rag mat (archival mats, 100% cotton). Images larger than 20X30 are dry-mounted on acid-free archival foam boards and the smaller images are hinged on a mounting board. Prints only usually ship in three to five business days.
