Sail Boat #2: Walking to the pier at Vero Beach, Florida, early in the morning on a cloudy and rainy morning, I noticed a sailboat going in the same direction and began capturing its progress. To my wonderful surprise, the sun breaking through the clouds at just at the right moment transformed an ordinary scene into something extraordinary.
Out of the Blue: I’ve captured an image early in the morning before sunrise, where fog rolled in and hid most of the field, leaving only one palm tree visible. I composed the shot, playing with the negative space, and just as I finished, the first light of the day appeared. Interestingly, I initially overlooked this image during their first edit run of over 3000 frames taken while in Florida.
Just Another Day: I have a morning ritual that sounds grounding and centering, a way to connect with the moment before diving into the energy of an art show. I remind myself to appreciate each day, no matter emerges. This practice influences my mindset at the art shows and in daily life.
