Celebrating the Overlooked: The Little Things Collection

Life is filled with small details, objects we interact with daily, often without a second thought. Yet, these seemingly mundane items are woven into our routines and memories, quietly shaping our experiences. Little Things is a collection that brings these humble items into focus, using minimalism to reveal the beauty and significance of the everyday.

My fascination with capturing everyday objects started back in college; it’s a passion that’s only grown over the years. Little Things is one of my oldest series, and many of the more popular pieces were captured on film, preserving the timelessness of that medium. Today, I continue to explore this theme through digital photography, though my approach remains the same. Each image uses bold color, composition, and harsh light to strip away distraction and let the subject stand on its own.

There’s something quietly powerful about capturing these objects in their simplest forms—an appreciation of their design, texture, and the role they play in our lives. My hope with Little Things is that you’ll see these images and perhaps pause to consider the overlooked beauty in your own life.
